Diabetes & weight loss program

Managing diabetes and maintaining a healthy weight are important parts of long-term health. Our pharmacists can help you understand your medications, manage your prescriptions and stay on track with your treatment.

We can answer questions about commonly prescribed medications, including metformin, insulin, and GLP-1 therapies such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, which may help eligible patients with blood sugar control and weight management when prescribed appropriately. Whether your question is about how to give an injection, side effects, blood sugar monitoring or a refill, our pharmacy team is here to help.

Diabetes care

Living with diabetes means managing a lot at once. We can take some of it off your plate.

  • Meters, test strips, lancets and continuous glucose monitor supplies
  • Diabetic shoes and inserts, where your plan covers them
  • A1C and blood sugar conversation — what the numbers mean and what moves them
  • A full medication review, including whether anything you take is working against your blood sugar
  • Medication synchronization, so everything comes due on one date
  • Blood pressure checks, free, any time you are in

Weight loss program

The visit is online with a licensed Florida provider through a platform called Xpedicare, and costs $39, paid by you to the platform. What happens next depends on what is prescribed. If it is a brand-name GLP-1 — Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound — you call us, we claim the prescription and fill it at your store on your insurance. If it is a compounded version, we do not make it here — it is prepared for you by a partner 503A sterile compounding pharmacy, and dispensed to you by us. Either way a pharmacist here follows up with you — which is the part a website-only service does not do.

We fill brand-name GLP-1 medications. We do not compound GLP-1s in house: where a compounded version is prescribed, it is prepared by a partner 503A sterile compounding pharmacy and dispensed to you by us. A valid prescription is always required.

The online visit is with an independent licensed Florida provider through the platform, not with the pharmacy. You are never required to fill a prescription with us.

How the program runs

It runs with your prescriber, not instead of them. We do not prescribe, and we do not put anyone on a medicine. What we do is the part that usually gets skipped: the follow-up.

  • A full medicine review first — what you take, what interacts, what might already be working against you.
  • Monitoring — blood pressure and blood glucose, and help understanding what the numbers mean.
  • Meter and injection technique, properly taught. A surprising number of problems are technique, not dose.
  • Supplies — test strips, lancets and the rest, with insurance checked before you pay. Diabetes supplies.
  • Cost — diabetes medicines are among the most expensive routine prescriptions, and among the most likely to have a cheaper route.
  • Vaccines — diabetes changes what you are due for. Ask us.

Weight management

Several weight-management medicines are controlled substances, including phentermine and diethylpropion. They carry legal requirements and real side effects, they are intended as part of a supervised plan rather than a standalone fix, and they are not suitable for everyone.

Be cautious of anyone selling weight-loss medication without an examination, without asking what else you take, or with claims about guaranteed results. That is not how any of this is supposed to work.

If you want to start

Talk to your prescriber, and talk to us. If you would rather understand the options before that appointment, ask one of our pharmacists — no charge, no obligation, and we will tell you if we think medication is not the right starting point.

Our telehealth page explains the route if you do not currently have a prescriber.
