COVID-19 vaccination at our pharmacies — who it is recommended for, what you need to bring, and how to arrange it.
Vaccination
All five of our pharmacies administer COVID-19 vaccines. In Florida you do not need a prescription to be vaccinated at a pharmacy — the Florida Board of Pharmacy confirmed this, and our pharmacists are authorized to administer the vaccine directly.
Who it is recommended for
The CDC currently recommends a 2026–2027 COVID-19 vaccine for all adults aged 18 and over.
For children aged 6 months to 17 years, vaccination is recommended through shared clinical decision-making — a conversation between you and a healthcare professional about your child’s circumstances. It remains recommended for all children in that age range with moderate or severe immunocompromise.

Which vaccine
Which products we hold varies through the season. Please call your pharmacy before coming in if you need a particular product, or if you are arranging vaccination for a child — the options for the youngest age groups are narrower than for adults.
Arranging it
- Call the pharmacy nearest you — numbers are on our locations page. Walk-ins are usually fine, but calling ahead means we can have it ready.
- Bring photo ID and your insurance card, and your vaccination record if you have one.
- Allow about 20 minutes — a few minutes for the vaccine and a short observation period afterwards.
- You can have it alongside other vaccines, including flu. Ask the pharmacist what is due.
Cost
Most insurance plans, including Medicare Part B and Medicaid, cover COVID-19 vaccination. We will check your coverage before administering it and tell you if anything is payable. See the plans we accept.
If you are unwell
If you have symptoms, please call before coming in rather than walking into the pharmacy. We can arrange delivery of what you need, discuss treatment options with you, and advise whether testing is worthwhile. See our free delivery service.
COVID-19 treatments are prescription medicines and work best when started early. If you think you may need one, speak to your prescriber or ask our pharmacist — and if you are seriously unwell, seek urgent medical care.
