Online visits with a licensed Florida provider

Telehealth

Telehealth is an online visit with a licensed Florida provider, arranged through a platform called Xpedicare. Separately, a pharmacist in any of our stores can check your blood pressure and review your medicines, with no appointment.

Telehealth visits — how it works

  1. You book and pay for the visit. It costs $39, paid by you to the platform. Medication, if any is prescribed, is separate.
  2. You see a licensed Florida provider online. Florida residents only.
  3. If they prescribe, the prescription goes to the platform. You cannot choose any particular store during the visit — the system does not offer it.
  4. Call us, and we request it from the platform. Tell us you have had a visit and which store you want, and we request the prescription from the platform and fill it.

The step people miss is step 4. If you do not call us, the prescription sits with the platform and we never see it. One phone call to your store is all it takes.

What it is used for

  • Weight loss
  • Hormone therapy — HRT and TRT
  • Sexual health
  • Hair loss
  • Other hormone-related prescriptions

What you should know before you use it

  • The visit is with an independent licensed Florida provider through the platform. They are not our prescribers and they do not work for the pharmacy.
  • You are never required to fill a prescription with us. You can take it anywhere.
  • Castillo’s pays the platform a flat monthly fee for access to the service. We do not pay for individual referrals or prescriptions, and we receive no share of your $39 visit fee.
  • A provider may decide that medication is not appropriate for you. The visit fee covers the consultation, not an outcome.
