COVID-19 and flu test kits

We stock rapid antigen home test kits for COVID-19 and influenza at all five stores, free, or at our cost price. You test yourself at home and have a result in about 15 minutes.

We do not perform testing in the pharmacy. If you need a test carried out and reported by a laboratory, you will need a doctor’s office, an urgent care center or a laboratory — ask us and we will point you somewhere sensible.

A positive result is reliable; a negative one is less so in the first day or two, so test again after 48 hours if you have symptoms. More about test kits.

What a pharmacist can help with

  • Blood pressure checks, free, any time you are in the store
  • Medication reviews with a pharmacist
  • Immunizations for adults 18 and over
  • Diabetes support — help setting up and using your own glucose meter, and reviewing your readings with you
  • COVID-19 vaccination

Who runs it

A pharmacist. There is no physician or nurse practitioner on site. Everything offered here sits within what Florida pharmacy practice rules allow a pharmacist to do.

This is not a substitute for seeing a doctor. If you are seriously unwell, or a symptom is getting worse, go to an urgent care center or an emergency department.

Bring the result to us. Antivirals for COVID-19 and influenza work best started within the first days of symptoms, and our pharmacists can check them against what you already take. Ask a pharmacist — no charge.

Immunizations

Our pharmacists administer vaccines at every store — flu, COVID-19, RSV, shingles, pneumococcal, Tdap, MMR, polio, and hepatitis A and B. In Florida you do not need a prescription to be vaccinated at a pharmacy.

Ask the pharmacist what you are due for. It is a question worth asking once a year, and most people are behind on at least one thing. More about immunizations.

Wellness support

This page is general information, not medical advice. If you are seriously unwell — breathless, confused, or getting worse — seek urgent medical care or call 911.
