The short answer: we don’t, and there is nothing for you to opt out of.
We do not sell your personal information
Castillo’s Pharmacy Group does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We never have. There is no opt-out to submit, because there is nothing to opt out of.
We say this plainly because “we do not sell your data” is often buried in a privacy policy nobody reads. This page exists so you can check it in one place.
What we actually do with your information
- We use it to dispense your prescriptions and answer your questions.
- We share it with your prescribers, your insurer and our suppliers only where that is needed to serve you, or where the law requires it.
- Your health information is protected by HIPAA, which is stricter than any state privacy law, and is set out in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Our website analytics measures pages and visits. No health information is ever sent to it.
The full picture is in our privacy notice.
Your rights over your information
Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Give you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete information we are not legally required to keep. Pharmacy records must be retained for a period set by Florida law, so these cannot simply be erased on request.
For health records, the rights in our Notice of Privacy Practices apply and are stronger than those above.
How to ask
Email castillos@pharmacyandmedicalsupply.com, or speak to the pharmacist at any of our locations. We will confirm who you are before releasing anything — that protection is for you.
We will respond within 45 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why.
We will not treat you differently for asking. Exercising any of these rights will never affect the service or the prices you receive from us.
