Ask us to check the price
This is the one worth knowing about, and it is not a promotion so much as a habit. Before you pay, ask us to check. Our pharmacists routinely look for:
- Manufacturer coupons and copay cards you may be eligible for without knowing it.
- Whether the cash price beats your insurance copay. Sometimes it does, often on generics, and you are allowed to choose the cheaper one.
- A therapeutic alternative your prescriber may be happy to switch to, where one costs considerably less.
- Patient assistance programs, for people who cannot afford a medicine they need.
If a price surprises you, say so. An independent pharmacy can take the time a chain cannot. Quite often there is something we can do — and if there is not, we will tell you that honestly too.
